- NJ Teacher of Art Certification or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)
- Competency instructing and working in a variety of art mediums
- Knowledge of technology as it relates to art education
- Willingness to showcase, display and promote students art work
- Ability to differentiate instruction
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Affective classroom management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff members and parents
PREFERRED CRITERIA:
- Proficient artistic ability in a variety of art mediums
- Previous experience working with middle school students
- Willingness to work collaboratively with district visual art colleagues regarding instruction
- Willingness to support building/department/district initiatives that encourage student participation in art
- Flexibility and willingness to work with all department colleagues to recruit/retain students K-12
- Experience and willingness to teach multiple art mediums
