What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leasing Consultant position at Washington Street Properties?
Responsible for effectively leasing apartments and assisting with delinquency collections, market surveys, addressing resident concerns, and the marketing program.
Activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals, including generating and handling traffic, marketing properties, leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation, and completing move-in procedures in accordance with the company's established policies and procedures.
- Remain fully informed of current rental rates, sizes, locations and all amenities of property.
- Complete lease agreements/forms and collect application fee and rental deposit.
- Maintain a professional, friendly atmosphere in leasing offices and other areas where prospective residents and current residents meet.
- Answer incoming phone calls and handle appropriately.
- Greet prospective residents in the office or at any of the portfolio properties as needed, qualify, determine needs and preferences, present available options professionally while communicating features and benefits.
- Contacting residents in an effort to collect any delinquent accounts.
- Maintain awareness of local market conditions, competition, and trends. Contribute ideas for marketing properties and improving resident satisfaction.
- Design and post advertising on internet websites and social media sites.
- Monitor renewals throughout the month, including contracts, updated leases, and alternative property options for tenants as necessary.
- Ensure spaces are ready for move-ins on agreed dates; inspect properties at move-outs and report condition.
- Contribute to cleanliness and curb appeal of the properties on continuing basis.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Special projects and other miscellaneous duties as may be assigned by leasing manager, director of operations or the vice president.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
