Bus Monitor
Position Type: Temporary (2 hours per day)
Location: Washington Street K-5 Elementary School
Reports to: School Principals
Salary: $16.72 per hour (external applicants)
Position Summary:
The School Bus Monitor will ride the same route in the morning and afternoon and be compensated 2 hours/day.This position is classified as Non-exempt.
Qualifications::
Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).
Responsibilities:
The School Bus Monitor is responsible for assisting bus drivers in the daily monitoring of student travel to and from school in a safe manner and in accordance with the Transportation Guidelines and Franklin Public Schools policies.
Communicates with students, parents, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Maintains discipline of students on the school bus (i.e. keeps students from leaning out windows, staying in the seat, respecting other riders, and using appropriate language, etc.). Ability to write incident reports and correspondence as necessary.
