Position Summary
Washington Regional's Trauma Surgery is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Advanced Practice Provider, to join our team. This is a hospital-based nocturnist position.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Surgical consultations and responding to ED for trauma alerts.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Assist in diagnosing and managing medical and surgical conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and treatments.
- Ensure accurate documentation and complete discharge summaries.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care certification or Physician Assistant program
- Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License and CPR, required. National certification, required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in trauma surgery or critical care preferred
- EMR: EPIC EMR experience preferred
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
