Position Summary
The role of the Registered Nurse reports to Director of Nursing. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care for patients receiving infusion services.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
- Prepare patient for various types procedures and/or examinations, as needed
- Review clinic orders and ensure all necessary information is obtained
- Continuously monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Assist patient by p roviding direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
- Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
Qualifications
- Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure and Certifications : Valid registered nurse license and CPR, required. ACLS requiring within 3 months. Annual dysrhythmia, required.
- Experience : Previous experience in nursing in a clinic or acute setting ,preferred. Previous experience in an infusion setting, preferred.
Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment. This position will be exposed to communicable disease and bodily fluids. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
