Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate engaging classes across various disciplines in TaeKwonDo for different age groups.
- Develop lesson plans that promote skill acquisition, safety awareness, and fun through active participation.
- Ensure a safe environment by enforcing behavior management policies and supervising participants during activities.
- Provide personalized coaching and feedback to help students improve technique and confidence.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive social interactions.
- Maintain equipment safety checks and ensure all activity areas are clean and organized.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavior when appropriate.
- Support the planning and execution of special events or competitions to showcase participant achievements.
- Stay current with industry best practices in teaching physical education, sports coaching, and childcare to continually enhance program quality.
Requirements
- Prior experience in TaeKwonDo
- Strong background in sports coaching or teaching physical education; certifications in martial arts is a plus
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Experience with childcare or youth development programs preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage participants of varying ages.
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for promoting health, fitness, and active lifestyles.
- Able to speak both Korean and English
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
