Responsibility for Safety, Health & Environmental
- Individual is expected to perform job duties safely and in compliance with documentation outlined in the Safety, Health & Environmental system.
- Individual is expected to perform job duties in compliance with defined management system requirements.
- Continually assess maintenance group work performance and develop training plans to fit current and future needs.
- Develops and executes a Reliability Centered Maintenance Plan that utilizes preventive and predictive maintenance to create asset specific plans.
- Supports the plant in achieving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) goals and actively evaluates OEE reports and data to continually improve.
- Utilizes CMMS to assist in achieving company goals as related to downtime, spare parts, and predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Determines Key Process Indicators (KPI’s) that are appropriate for the company goals.
- Manages costs with the Plant Manager to meet business plan objectives.
- Willingness to work after/additional hours and respond to call-ins.
- Professional attitude and ability to respond to changing priorities of the business.
- Ability to work independently, to organize, take initiative and exercise sound judgement.
- Coordinates installations and repair work with Plant Manager and Production Manager.
- Oversees the maintenance on all of the equipment, such as the replacement of bearings or gears in a gearbox, the installation of new equipment or the alignment of couplers.
- Troubleshoots electrical or maintenance problems.
- Maintains the building and grounds.
- Assures that established policies and procedures are followed.
- Performs other duties and assignments as directed by Plant Manager.
- 5 years of maintenance or electrical experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science or technical degree preferred.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, software and logic.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs to reach rooftops or machinery platforms.
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as needed.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and twist repeatedly.
