Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. is seeking a reliable, motivated, and adaptable Swing Technician to support the successful execution of performances, events, and productions across our venues. This position plays a crucial role in preparing event spaces, assisting with technical elements, and ensuring that each venue is restored to its pre-event condition.

Position Summary:
The Swing Technician assists in the preparation, operation, and strike of events and performances. This includes equipment setup, load-in/load-out, scenic and technical support, and general labor required to support productions. The role works closely with the Technical Services Manager and onsite crew heads, including external production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up event spaces, including audio and lighting equipment, staging, tables, chairs, and basic carpentry needs.
Load-in and load-out equipment, scenery, props, costumes, lighting, and audio elements for events and productions.
Provide running crew support during live events as assigned.
Restore event and performance spaces to pre-event conditions following load-out.
Identify and report any equipment issues or failures.
Operate basic audiovisual and production equipment during events.
Represent Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of technical theatre practices and production techniques is preferred.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
Willingness to learn new skills, techniques, and procedures.
Ability to work long hours, nights, and weekends as required by event schedules.
Positive attitude with a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and respect for colleagues and artists.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs or more.
Routinely perform work at elevated locations.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, or crawl for extended periods
