What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) position at Washington Outpatient Surgery Center?
Washington Outpatient Surgery Center, LLC (WOSC) is a free-standing multi-specialty center with five operating rooms and two procedure rooms, open Monday through Friday. Job Duties:
- Administer patient care primarily by conducting health screening phone calls for incoming patients
- Responsible for pre-op interviews and telephone follow up
- Participate as a team member in support of the total perioperative process
- Communicate with team members regarding patient/family special needs and concerns
- Document pre-operative interview according to EPIC navigator & facility policies
- Obtain any labs and pertinent patient records as needed prior to patients arrival/procedure
- Escalate information from patient interviews to nursing management/medical directors as needed
- Assist nurses with post-op recovery and discharging patients, including documenting vitals and providing discharge instructions
- If IV certified, possibly assist with admitting patients for surgery
Required Education & Licensure
- State approved Vocational Nursing Diploma/Certificate Program and/or Associate of Science in Vocational Nursing (ASVN)
- Active California LVN License
- Current AHA BLS

Schedule: M-F 8hr Variable Shifts
Salary : $35 - $48
