Primary Responsibilities
The projected annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.

Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate amateur players in assigned area, producing scouting reports and maintaining preference lists.
- Evaluate player makeup through player visits and confirm beliefs through third party sources.
- Supplement opinions from live looks with objective data and video looks to build confidence in grades.
- Maintain a network of connections that allows for speedy identification of talent and sourcing of relevant player news.
- Provide reliable player schedules and update staff on any changes in player availability in a timely manner.
- Responsibly manage expenses in compliance with department policies.
- Complete special assignment coverages as assigned by department leadership.
- Present concise yet complete pictures of players within your area in department meetings.
- Represent the Washington Nationals professionally in all interactions.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to MN, IA, IL, WI, NC, SC, GA, NY, NJ, CT, MA, RI, or Eastern PA.
- Deep understanding of baseball player and team evaluation and player development processes.
- Desire to learn new tools and methods of player evaluation.
- Understanding of analytical information and a willingness to use it in evaluating players.
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly confidential environment.
