Position Overview: The Coordinator, Member Events is responsible for the planning and management of Member Events and Experiences for the WNBA Washington Mystics. This role leads the event communication and event management, coordinating across our organization to deliver best-in-class experiences and is a key contributor to our customer service and Member retention efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Event management for Member Experiences including annual Member Exclusive Events (Season Preview, Meet The Team, Auctions, etc), Member Meet-Ups (social gatherings, volunteer experiences, away game trips) and Member Perk Experiences (a series of in-game and post-game fan experiences that are part of our Member benefits).
  • Coordinate the planning of each Member Exclusive event, including securing venues, retaining vendors, handling event invitations & RSVPs, and event execution.
  • Project planning including timelines & key results as well as event budget management.
  • Plan a series of events available for Members to meet and engage with other Members.
  • Coordinate Member meet-up planning; including ideation, outreach to partners/vendors, event invitations and RSVPs, fee collection (if necessary) and overall event execution.
  • Coordinate the Member Perk program including management of Perk Platform and opt-in process, as well as post-selection confirmations.
  • Coordinate the delivery of in-game and post-game experiences including check-in, wayfinding, and delivery of the experience with the help of various internal team members.
  • Coordinate the post-experience survey process as well as delivery of any experience photos.
  • Manage the pick-up of any physical Perk items at games, managing inventory and redemption for CRM reporting.
  • Handle project plans, project updates with weekly status reports, management of financial transactions and event budgets.
  • Coordinate across business team including Marketing, Game Presentation, Venue Operations, Player Relations, etc.
  • Consistently, genuinely and enthusiastically answer incoming phone calls and emails on items such as member benefit questions, game night questions and overall Member Account needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and sales experience.
  • 1 year of event management experience preferred; 1 years of ticket sales or service experience with a pro or college sports team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and balance numerous business relationships in a professional manner.
  • Passionate about building a sales career in the sports industry.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office programs.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred, but not required.
