Durant Public Schools is looking for a receptionist for the 2026-2027 school year for Washington Irving Elementary
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Above average proficiency in computer/word processor skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to perform assignments on own initiative
Reports to: Building Principal
Responsibilities: included, but not limited to,
Office-related duties
Assists with preparing/submitting monthly staff attendance reports, time sheets, claims for reimbursement
Assists with hospitality for parent-teacher conference days
Welcome visitors, receiving and routing of incoming phone calls, recording and delivering messages
Sends in a timely manner all correspondence to parents regarding attendance
Collects and coördinates assignments and make-up work for students assigned to the alternative classroom as required
Supervisies classroom when teachers are needed elsewhere
Assist school nurse with health records as required
Performs other duties as assigned by the principal
