What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Analyst II (Registered Nurse) - Information Services - Full-Time, Exempt position at Washington Hospital?
Summary of Duties: The Application Analyst II (RN) Optime analyzes will do business processes, workflows and functional requirements for various departments, configures, builds and tests assigned application functionality, provides end-user support and training for Epic System and new releases. Epic OpTime Certified Analyst for build, testing, training and work flow analysis and improvement. This individual will be a support for the OR/CathLab/ASC/ and all procedural areas and physicians, support for maintenance and issue resolution.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Healthcare or equivalent experience required. Graduate of a school of nursing, BSN or higher preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current CA RN license. Epic Certification required. May consider training for the right applicant. Must obtain certification of Epic Application in one or more application and re-certification per release as appropriate.
Experience Requirements: Two (2) years experience working with Epic system. One year of Epic (or other clinical information system) implementation experience required. Two (2) years of healthcare experience, in a clinical role in acute care or ambulatory care setting. Multiple application certification desired.
Special Skills or Abilities: Significant knowledge of operational workflows which relate to the application functionality assigned to the analyst. Able to problem solve, with analytical skills, working with adult learning. Strong communication skills in English required. Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office products and Outlook required. Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment.
