HS Vocal Music Instructor
Washington Community School District has an opening for a 9-12 Vocal Music teacher for the 2026-27 school year. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated educator who is team-oriented, collaborative, adaptable, and has quality communication skills and is willing to continue the tremendous growth the Vocal Department has made over the past few years.
Candidates will teach multiple music classes as well as preparing students for the IHSMA All-State Auditions, 9th Grade OPUS Auditions, and Solo/Ensemble Contest.
Providing Voice Lessons throughout the week to students in Concert Choir.
Collaborating with the MS Choir Teacher when possible.
There is a vocal music contract that covers preparing the HS Concert Choir for 4 Concerts, IHSMA Large Group Contest, Graduation and hosting the IHSMA State Show Choir Contest as well as directing HS Show Choir "Cinematics" and the A Cappella group.
A music education endorsement is required.
