Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication logs
- Support residents with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory care needs through tailored engagement and behavior management strategies
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary plans and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties within the personal care home or group home setting
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to support residents’ overall well-being and development
Requirements
- 15 years prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and behavior management
- CBRF Certifications; CNA a plus
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is desirable
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with seniors or individuals with complex needs
