What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Serve as a front-line contact for new business and natural gas service inquiries.
• Respond to customers and review service request applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Contact customers when additional information or clarification is needed.
• Help customers understand the natural gas service installation process.
• Create and organize new business project documentation.
• Enter and maintain accurate information in systems such as Salesforce, ESRI and OpenGrid.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, builders, employees and Sales Operations team.
• Track clarification cases and route them to the appropriate team members for resolution.
• Maintain accurate records used for departmental reporting.
• Provide timely and accurate information about company products and services.
• Use established guidelines and procedures to make decisions and keep customer requests moving forward.
  
  
  

Required

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of customer service or sales experience in a high-volume, product-driven, customer-focused environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately collect, interpret and record information.
• Sound judgement and the ability to make decisions within established procedures and guidelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach to customer interactions.
• Ability to successfully complete the required Writing Skills Evaluation Assessment.
  
  
  

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge of natural gas and electrical appliances.
• Familiarity with gas-line installation and related techniques.
• Experience with Salesforce, ESRI or OpenGrid.
