SAP FICO Consultant

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on expert across SAP Finance and Controlling processes, driving functional design, configuration, and optimization for our global SAP environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and cross-functional business partners to translate financial requirements into scalable SAP solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business insight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead configuration, support, and continuous improvement of SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO, COPA, Cost Center Accounting, etc.)
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design end-to-end solutions aligned with financial and controlling best practices
• Support month-end and year-end close processes through system validation, troubleshooting, and automation opportunities
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA initiatives, system upgrades, testing, and integrations with other SAP and non-SAP modules
• Create and maintain documentation including functional specs, test scripts, and training materials
• Provide day-to-day user support and training

Qualifications:

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, and/or 7 years equivalent work experience. (S/4HANA experience a strong plus)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, cost controlling, and financial reporting
• Proven experience in SAP configuration and integration with MM, SD, and PP modules
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques, including SQL/NoSQL.
• Experience with SuccessFactors
