What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Delivery Driver position at Washington Floral Service?
We're looking for a delivery driver that values safety and has a positive attitude. Our drivers are responsible for ensuring that orders are delivered accurately and on time, keeping vehicles clean and assisting with loading and crossdocking product when necessary. This route involves highway driving in all types of weather. This route will involve an overnight delivery route! Essential delivery days are Monday (with an overnight route) and Thursday, and may run longer than 8 hours round trip. You will need the flexibility to complete the route. Must be comfortable driving a 26 foot box truck. Route runs from Missoula to Billings on Monday and Bozeman on Thursdays.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately check, organize and load product onto your assigned route truck
- Accurately deliver products to customers in a timely and safe manner
- Interact pleasantly with customers at all times
- When time allows, light warehouse duties could include sweeping and cleaning, breaking down boxes, etc.
Skills and Requirements:
- Clean and safe driving record
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Strong organizational ability
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently
- Must have or be able to obtain a CDL medical card
- Must be able to pass a drug test including marijuana.
