The Washington FAIR Plan provides property insurance for dwellings and commercial buildings that are unable to find insurance in the standard market. We have an opening for an entry-level, full-time Associate Underwriter with some administrative responsibilities.
This position is hybrid with part in office and part work from home after training.
Job Description:
The Associate Underwriter will be part of a small team of dedicated professionals who value hard work, dedication, and teamwork. Responsibilities include processing applications, preparing quotes, reviewing property inspections, processing insurance documents, independently completing routine policy updates, preparing invoices and bills for approval, bookkeeping, responding to emails, answering phones, monitoring and ordering office supplies, and other duties and projects as needed.
Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college work preferred.
• Basic skills with QuickBooks helpful.
• Proficiency with Office 365 Word and Excel preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Must be detail oriented, accurate and well organized.
• The qualified candidate is reliable, dependable, and works well independently.

Pay range $26.00 - $33.65 hourly
