Washington Eye Care is a busy one provider ophthalmology clinic providing comprehensive eye care and diagnostic services. Our small, collaborative team is committed to delivering excellent patient care while maintaining an efficient and supportive work environment.
We are seeking an experienced Medical Clinic and Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clinic and support both clinical staff and administrative workflows.
Position Overview
The Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic. This includes managing front desk operations, supporting staff, coordinating schedules, and serving as the primary point of contact for operational questions.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in managing the workflow of a medical office.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations and front desk workflow
- Manage scheduling processes and patient flow
- Supervise front desk and administrative staff
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training staff
- Serve as primary point of contact for operational issues
- Coordinate with billing company and external vendors
- Monitor office supplies and clinic inventory
- Ensure patient scheduling and check-in processes run smoothly
- Maintain a positive and professional clinic environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a medical office manager, clinic manager, or healthcare administrator
- Experience in a medical or ophthalmology practice strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and EHR software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in ophthalmology or optometry
- Experience supervising front desk or administrative staff
- Knowledge of insurance verification and referral processes
