Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming and outgoing calls in a timely, friendly, efficient manner using the approved greetings and phrases.
- Takes messages for guests in the hotel, and those to arrive. Take messages for department head or other employees when they cannot be reached by telephone or connect to voice mail.
- Keeps records of telephone numbers, in case they are needed for emergencies.
- Familiar with all hotel services and their hours, as well as key personnel in the hotel.
- Keeps records relating to maintenance problems in guest rooms.
- Assists other guest services representatives during busy periods by replacing them when necessary (mainly the Gift Shop).
- Logs all guest requests and responds accordingly. Ensures good follow-through.
- Performs guest wake-up calls in accordance with procedures specified in the Wake-up Call Protocol.
- Hotel PBX experience or other switchboard experience preferred.
- Must have a pleasant, clear speaking voice and demonstrate professional communication with guests as well as co-workers.
- Developed English skills.
