We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven hospitality sales professional with a proven ability to identify opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and deliver outstanding service while contributing to the continued growth and success of our award-winning hotels.
The Group Sales Manager plays a vital role in driving group business and maximizing revenue across our collection of Duke properties. This position is responsible for cultivating strong relationships with clients, generating new group business, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Onsite, in office position
Responsibilities:
- Solicitation, negotiation, implementation, and follow-up for deployment plan.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals including predetermined revenue and sales activity.
- Respond promptly to all inquiries and correspondence from customers, prospects, and lead referrals.
- Provides direction and supervision of meetings and/or catering logistics to catering staff.
- Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP’s and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales team.
- Respond promptly to requests by the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Director of Group Sales for reports and other assignments.
- Properly maintain files and accounts.
- Set up working relationships with other areas of the hotel’s operations.
- Familiarity with the competition from other hotels within the local area.
- Follow-up with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, i.e., parties, sales blitzes, etc.
- Understand the services provided by each department and the responsibilities of key individuals.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience or related field (degree, certification, or formal training preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet program goals
- Self-motivated and proactive, with strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
