Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Bitcoin mining data center. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing data center infrastructure, maintaining mining hardware, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring maximum system uptime. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Bitcoin mining data center.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ASIC mining equipment.
- Monitor mining performance, uptime, power usage, and cooling systems to maximize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage data center infrastructure, including electrical systems, networking, HVAC, and security.
- Lead and supervise on-site technicians and vendors.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory of mining equipment, spare parts, and supplies.
- Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase mining productivity and reduce operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience managing data center operations or critical infrastructure.
- Experience working with Bitcoin mining operations or cryptocurrency mining hardware is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of ASIC miners (Bitmain Antminer, WhatsMiner, Avalon, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking, power distribution, cooling systems, and server infrastructure.
- Experience with monitoring systems and remote management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency outages when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale Bitcoin mining facilities.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and basic scripting.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and industrial cooling.
- Experience managing vendors and contractor relationships.
- Understanding of mining pool operations and mining performance optimization.
