Full Time/ With Benefits / $21.26 per Hour

Washington County is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our County Attorney's Office. This position plays an essential role in helping attorneys manage criminal and civil cases while providing professional service to law enforcement, courts, victims, witnesses, and the public.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and electronically file legal documents and court filings.
• Provide administrative support to County Attorneys.
• Manage case files and maintain confidential records.
• Coordinate with courts, law enforcement, attorneys, victims, and witnesses.
• Assist with trial preparation, hearings, and other legal processes.
• Perform a variety of clerical and legal administrative duties in a fast-paced office.

• Is proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Has the ability to learn legal procedures and case management systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal or office administrative experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to type 40 WPM.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
