This entry-level position performs a variety of custodial and basic maintenance duties both indoors and outdoors, supporting daily operations across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of county facilities.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash, clean walls, doors, windows, and drinking fountains.
- Monitor and restock custodial supplies; report shortages.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other tools.
- Conduct outdoor cleaning of parking areas and recreational courts.
- Perform basic facility security checks (e.g., door locks).
- Assist with event setup (tables, chairs, podiums).
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license required
- Basic understanding of custodial practices, tools, and cleaning agents.
- Ability to safely operate or learn powered cleaning equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and repetitive motion.
