What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant County Attorney position at Washington County?
Washington County is currently seeking an Assistant County Attorney. Under the direction of the County Attorney, incumbent performs difficult and responsible work of a highly professional nature in giving legal counsel to County Board of Supervisors and department authorities; represents the County in courts; and performs related duties as required.
Suggested Minimum Qualifications: Several years of progressively responsible experience in the practice of law, preferably civil law; graduation from a recognized law school; or any equivalent combination of experience and training sufficient to indicate ability to do the work.
Special Requirement: Eligibility for a license to practice law in the State of New York.
Residency: Must be a resident of Washington County at the time of appointment.
Starting Annual Salary: $82,383 plus excellent benefits.
