What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategy Manager position at Washington Commanders?
The role of the Strategy Manager is to manage the development, execution, and measurement of a strategic agenda for the Washington Commanders. Working closely with the Executive Team, the Strategy Manager will oversee strategic governance, OKRs, and project management of major projects; and collaborate closely with Finance to translate the organization’s strategy into the budget and long-range plan. The Manager will also work closely with departments on continuous improvement and innovation projects that they identify and oversee.
Key projects include:
· Developing and running an offsite for the senior leadership team to set priorities for the next 18 months
· Working closely with Finance to develop a budget and CapEx plan that reflects the organization’s strategic priorities
· Partnering with departments to develop objectives and key results (OKRs) as well as annual budgets
· Working closely with the President and Executive Team to manage against OKRs, including through data visualizations
· Determining in consultation with People Operations how to incentivize and reward employees for achieving org-wide goals
· Cascading the enterprise strategy throughout the organization and involving Directors and VPs in developing and executing enterprise goals
· Managing monthly OKR and budget reviews, as well as monthly commercial governance meeting focused on key decisions across the organization
