Assistant Softball Coach

Washington College, an NCAA Division III member of the Centennial Conference, is accepting applications for a full-time assistant softball coach. The assistant softball coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of running a competitive softball program. Coaching responsibilities and additional responsibilities will be based on candidate’s skill set and experience.

Essential Functions

• On field coaching and player development.
• Assist with practice planning, game preparation and video analysis.
• Support academic, emotional and social well-being of student athletes by providing mentorship and leadership.
• Identification and recruitment of qualified prospective student-athletes.
• Development and advancement of softball program through fundraising, social media, community service, etc.
• Assist the athletic department with game management or other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Collegiate playing and coaching experience preferred.
• Background in pitching instruction preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel as needed.
  
  

Salary: $30,000 - $31,000
