What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Softball Coach position at Washington College?
Washington College, an NCAA Division III member of the Centennial Conference, is accepting applications for a full-time assistant softball coach. The assistant softball coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of running a competitive softball program. Coaching responsibilities and additional responsibilities will be based on candidates skill set and experience.
Essential Functions:
- On field coaching and player development.
- Assist with practice planning, game preparation and video analysis.
- Support academic, emotional and social well-being of student athletes by providing mentorship and leadership.
- Identification and recruitment of qualified prospective student-athletes.
- Development and advancement of softball program through fundraising, social media, community service, etc.
- Assist the athletic department with game management or other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Collegiate playing and coaching experience preferred.
- Background in pitching instruction preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel as needed.
Salary: $30,000 - $31,000
