What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security: Museum Safety Associate position at Washington Co. Museum of Fine Arts?
We are looking for a Museum Safety Associate to protect our Museum, assets and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.
Responsibilities
- Protect Museum’s property, art, and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly inside Museum
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Perform first aid or CPR
Skills
- Proven work experience as a reliable employee
- Ability to operate detecting systems
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Ability to navigate stairs
- Integrity and professionalism
- Must enjoy working with the public and greet visitors
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.30 - $20.40 per hour (90 day probationary period at $15 per hour)
