What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Girls Cross-Country Coach position at Washington Central Unified Union School District?
U-32 is seeking an individual to join our Division II Boys and Girls Cross-Country coaching staff as the Varsity Girls Head Coach. Within the framework of the entire athletic program, the varsity coach will be responsible for instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the student shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence. The varsity coach is also responsible for monitoring their sport-specific athletic program as a whole from the varsity level down to the youth level.
The coach should be familiar with & work with assistant coaches, MS coaches, and youth coaches in order to continuously develop the program from the ground up.U-32 Athletics - Mission Statement: Co-curricular activities exist to support and advance the overall mission of the school. These activities will comprise an integral part of the curriculum and seek to enhance and enrich the overall educational experience of each enrolled student.The program goals are to offer a broad and diverse range of activities so that every enrolled student has the opportunity to explore and develop their individual interest and potential and provide a secure context for engagement and interaction with the U-32 community that can prepare them for the responsibilities of citizenship.To achieve these goals, program development and ongoing review will include the combined effort and commitment of students, faculty, administrators, parents, and members of the community at large.
