Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN Floor Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis from 10 PM to 6 AM. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with experience in various healthcare settings, including long-term care and acute care environments. As an LPN Floor Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, support residents' daily needs, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and patient assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents with diverse needs.
- Provide support for residents with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory-related conditions.
- Assist in triaging patients and managing acute pain effectively while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, phlebotomy, and tube feeding as required.
- Educate residents and their families on health management strategies and available resources within the community.
- Foster a supportive environment that promotes dignity and respect for all residents while encouraging their independence.
Qualifications
- Current LPN licensure in good standing with the relevant state board of nursing.
- Proven experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar healthcare settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
- Strong clinical skills in areas including but not limited to IV infusion, medication administration, and patient assessment.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation is beneficial.
- Experience working with geriatric populations and those requiring hospice or palliative care is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
