Job Overview
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team on a full-time basis for the 10 PM to 6 AM shift. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including long-term care and assisted living environments. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to established health protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
- Provide compassionate care to residents with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and Alzheimer’s disease.
- Support patients in memory care units by engaging them in activities that promote cognitive function and emotional well-being.
- Administer medications as prescribed while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to facilitate patient mobility safely.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care in various settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or in a caregiving role is required.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques is essential.
- Prior experience in hospice care, geriatrics, or pediatrics will be considered a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
