The Teller/Member Services Representative (MSR) is the point of contact for the majority of in-person and telephone-initiated transactions and inquiries by members. Therefore, the MSR must be able to maintain a professional demeanor, be punctual with attendance and assignments, provide consistent quality service, and maintain a friendly and cooperative working environment. As an MSR, maintaining a consistent and acceptable volume of accuracy with assigned duties, as well as, maintaining adequate security on all cash and negotiable items under the employee’s control is mandatory.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Receives inquiries and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, negotiable items; account setup & maintenance.
- Balances cash drawer and daily transactions and maintains accurate member and credit union records.
- Provides information to members concerning products, services, and benefits. Provides assistance to members with problems or will direct members to the appropriate department for specific information and service.
- Performs a variety of tasks to aid the department and overall branch operations. Includes answering the telephone, email correspondence, filing, data entry, maintenance, record keeping, and reporting.
- Cross-sells credit union products and services. Informs members of promotions, specials, or events at the credit union. Participates in overall credit union annual and strategic goals and objectives.
Experience - Cash handling required. Banking experience preferred.
Education - A high school education or GED.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
