Through scholarships, student support and industry connections, we help young people pursue educational opportunities, build strong futures, and identify pathways to return to our communities and make an impact of their own.
We are looking for a Student Success Manager to lead WAEF's work with current scholarship recipients and our Beyond the Scholarship programs.
This is a relationship-centered program leadership role for someone who enjoys working with young adults and bringing people together around their success. The Student Success Manager helps WAEF scholars persist through college, prepare for careers, and grow personally and professionally by building a strong network of support around them. A significant part of the role is engaging and equipping volunteers, alumni, employers, educational institutions and community partners to contribute their time, experience, connections and encouragement. Through those relationships, the manager creates meaningful opportunities for students while strengthening their connection to the WAEF community.
What you'll do
- Lead WAEF's relationship with scholarship recipients from post-award acceptance through graduation.
- Plan, deliver and continually strengthen WAEF's Beyond the Scholarship programs.
- Create opportunities for mentoring, professional development, career exploration and connection.
- Work with students and employers to expand internships and other career-connected learning opportunities.
- Recruit, prepare and support mentors, speakers and program volunteers.
- Lead student communications and help connect students with appropriate resources when needs arise.
- Manage student success goals, calendars, budgets, participation information and program evaluation.
- Serve as the primary staff partner for WAEF's Student Success Committe
We're looking for someone who brings
A bachelor's degree and relevant experience, along with at least five years of progressively responsible experience in education, student support, nonprofit programming, workforce development or a related field.
Strong candidates will have experience independently leading and strengthening programs and working with volunteers or community partners. They will bring strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with people from varied backgrounds and experiences. Strong facilitation, organization, judgment and follow-through are essential. Bilingual and bicultural experience reflecting WAEF's student community is strongly preferred.
This position is based in WAEF's Wenatchee office and requires regular travel throughout Washington, occasional evening and weekend commitments, and rare out-of-state travel.
