What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Fire Inspections Technician position at Washington Alarm?
We are looking for a Fire Alarm Test & Inspection Technician to join our team! This is a pure inspection opportunity with no service calls.
Hourly pay range: $28-45/hour depending on license, certifications and applicable skills and experience.
Work shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (technicians are required to be added to the on-call rotation).
In this role you will:
· Perform inspection and testing of all types of fire alarm, camera and burg systems
· Assist/coordinate with all forms of life safety system testing
· Diagnoses cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
· Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements
· Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns
· Discuss deficiencies noted with a customer, explaining the problem and its resolution

Requirements:
· 2 plus years experience in fire alarm systems
· High School diploma or equivalent
· NICET II (Fire Alarm Systems or Fire Alarm Test and Inspect)
· FA-1 Fire Alarm Systems (Seattle Certification) preferred
· Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android
· Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
