What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 ESY Special Education Teacher position at Washington Administrative Center?
Reports to:
- Director of Special Services
Qualifications:
- Mild/Moderate or Severe/Profound Certification in Special Education
- Early Childhood or Elementary Certification
Duties:
- Provides special education services as outlined on the student's Individualized Education Plan
- Prepares materials and equipment prior to the start of class
- Engages students in active learning and uses a variety of strategies to support learning
- Plans with other members of the team
- Perform other duties as requested by the director
Compensation:
- $25.00 per hour 5% special education
Dates:
- May 28-29, 2026 (ESY Workdays 9:00-3:00)
- June 1-25, 2026 (ESY M-Th 7:45-12:45)
