Overview
Washburn County Housing Authority (WCHA), located in Spooner WI, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Housing Specialist/Office Assistant. This position is responsible for maintaining tenant files, completing recertifications, maintaining the waiting lists, coordinating move-ins and move-outs, preparing rent statements, collecting rent and making deposits, issuing tenant notices, and performing general office duties such as answer the telephone, typing, and filing. The successful candidate must maintain a good working relationship with staff, current and perspective residents, contractors, and outside vendors.
Qualifications
- Qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); with at least three months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Preference may be given to applicants with knowledge of Rural Development and HUD programs.
This position is 35-37 hours per week with a wage range of $19–$21 per hour, depending on qualifications. Benefits include participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) and a health care stipend. This position is not affiliated with Washburn County and does not offer the same benefits provided by Washburn County.
