The Wasco Union Elementary School District serves over 3,650 students in grade levels pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 1940, the district is comprised of four elementary schools and two middle schools. The district strives to provide a rigorous and supportive educational program, strong community partnerships and high levels of parental involvement. Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Possession of CPR and First Aid Certificates. (CPR & First Aid training may be provided by the District upon employment) Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have completed (1) two years of study (minimum of 48 semester units) at an institution of higher education OR (2) possession of an associate’s (or higher) degree OR (3) met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness). Pre-employment Health Screen Desired Qualifications: Courses or training in child care, child guidance, or child development Enthusiasm for and commitment to assigned tasks Fluency in Spanish
