What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate position at Wasatch Trailer Sales?
Wasatch Trailer Sales Southern Utah is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Associate to sell a variety of trailers (utility, cargo, dump, equipment, etc.). The role includes a base hourly wage plus monthly bonuses for each deal closed. Health, dental, vision insurance and designated paid holidays after an introduction period. PTO is also available after the first year. Sales Associates must provide outstanding service, close deals, and help maintain a professional showroom and lot.
Responsibilities- Engage with walk-in, call-in and online customers to generate trailer sales
- Understand trailer specs, features, and benefits; compare models and explain warranties
- Qualify buyer needs and build rapport to match them with the right product
- Negotiate pricing and close sales by addressing objections
- Maintain lot organization and cleanliness of showroom and display trailers
- Use CRM to track leads, follow up with prospects, and process sales documentation
- Promote add-on Sales (e.g., locks, tie-downs, spare tires)
- Collaborate with parts and service teams to provide a complete customer experience
- Support marketing efforts and sales campaigns
- Perform opening/closing duties and handle social media inquiries
- Sales/customer service experience (2 years preferred)
- Trailer/towing industry knowledge or related field experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to work independently
- Basic computer proficiency, CRM familiarity and Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
- High School diploma required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
- Valid Driver's License required
- Must be available during dealership hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm; some saturdays 9am-3pm)
