Job Description:
A Production Maintenance Technician performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. They also troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
Responsibilities
· Diagnosis and repair or replace defective motors, gearboxes, pumps, vacuum systems, HMI controls, minor electrical wiring, and mechanical systems pertaining to the batching area.
· Service and maintain the process water system including daily checks and filling out logbooks
· Service and maintain steam generators including daily monitoring and filling out logbooks
· Perform all facility daily, weekly, and monthly PM’s as per the preventive maintenance equipment schedule
· Assist in tank and scale calibrations
· Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
· Performs other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
· High School education or equivalent
· 3-5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance
· Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
· Ability to push/lift 75 pounds
· Ability to climb ladders
· Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching, as the job may require
· Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
· Ability to work in extreme temperatures
· Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids
Job Hours and Schedule:
Hours of Work: The minimum required is 40 hours per week. Occasionally, you will be expected to work more hours according to the business needs. Full-time Monday-Friday 4:30PM am – 2:00AM
Hourly Rate: $19.00-$25.00/hour paid bi-weekly (Fridays) and subject to deductions for taxes and other withholdings as required by law.
Bonus Potential: Effective upon satisfactory completion of the first 90 days of employment and based upon the goals and objectives agreed to in the performance development planning process with your manager, you may be eligible for a quarterly bonus. The bonus plan for this year and beyond, should such a plan exist, will be based on the formula determined by the company for that year.
Paid Time Off: Vacation time is accrued at 3.08 hours per pay period, which is equivalent to 10 days on an annual basis.
