Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Emergency Veterinarian located in Salt Lake City, UT. The Emergency Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care to emergency and critical care patients, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and advanced procedures. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests, interpreting results, managing complex cases, collaborating with specialty departments, and educating pet owners. We will also support emergency veterinarians with an interest in surgery. The veterinarian will also ensure accurate medical documentation and contribute to a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and empathy.
Qualifications
- Possess strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills with input and collaboration with specialists.
- Expertise in managing critical care cases, emergencies, and performing surgical procedures, as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to educate and collaborate effectively with pet owners, staff, and veterinary specialists.
- Commitment to professional development, teamwork, and contributing to a healthy hospital culture.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree with a valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Utah.
- Experience in emergency or specialty veterinary care is strongly preferred, but motivation to grow and work together to care for pets in need is prioritized
