What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Server position at Wasai Bistro?
We’re a Japanese and French fusion restaurant in Cranford looking for servers to join our team. We’re all about great food, smooth service, and a relaxed but professional vibe.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcoming guests and making them feel comfortable
- Taking orders and putting them in through the POS
- Answering questions about the menu (don’t worry, we’ll train you on the dishes)
- Running food and drinks to tables
- Checking in with guests and making sure they’re happy
- Cleaning and resetting tables between seatings
- Working with the kitchen and sushi bar to keep things moving smoothly
- Handling payments and closing out checks
What We’re Looking For:
- Some experience waiting tables (not required, but it helps)
- Friendly, reliable, and comfortable talking to people
- Able to work well during busy shifts
- Team player who jumps in where needed
