What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Wasabi Johnston?
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Proficiently use I-Pad to seat guest and ensure use of dining space is properly upheld.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Answering phone calls to take reservations, provide information about the restaurant, as well as ringing in take out orders.
-Packing to go orders and checking out guests
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive dining experience for guests
-Ability to perform opening and closing duties.
Requirements:
-Must be at least 16 years of age
-Reliable transportation
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of Toast POS system is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
