Job Overview
The Asset Manager will lead the technical and economic performance of operated and non-operated assets within the Eagle Ford basin. This role is responsible for maximizing asset value through integrated reservoir management, development planning, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate has a strong reservoir engineering background, deep knowledge of unconventional shale development, and proven experience in the Eagle Ford.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Leadership & Strategy

Own full-cycle asset management responsibilities, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance optimization.

Develop and execute short- and long-term asset development strategies to maximize NPV and reserve recovery.

Drive business decisions by integrating subsurface, drilling, completion, and production data.

Lead small cross disciplinary team in developing the assets
Reservoir Engineering & Technical Oversight

Lead reservoir evaluation, decline curve analysis, reserves estimation, and type curve development for asset.

Oversee reservoir simulation and modeling to support field development planning.

Optimize well spacing, landing zones, and completion designs specific to Eagle Ford geologic variability.

Champion and underwrite technologies that enhance technical understanding of the asset and drive asset value creation.
Operations & Performance Optimization

Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for improvement, including refracs, workovers, and artificial lift optimization.

Collaborate with drilling and completions teams to enhance well productivity and capital efficiency.

Analyze production trends and apply data-driven insights to improve asset performance.
Financial Management

Own asset-level budget development (CAPEX/OPEX) and track financial performance against plan.

Conduct economic evaluations of development scenarios, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Deliver accurate forecasts and reserves updates in line with corporate and regulatory standards.
Cross-Functional Leadership

Lead and coordinate cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams, including geoscience, drilling, completions, production operations, and commercial teams.

Serve as primary point of contact for senior leadership on asset performance and strategy.

Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Interface

Interface with partners, investors, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Ensure compliance with Texas regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering or similar (required)
Experience

Minimum 10 years of oil & gas experience, with a strong emphasis on reservoir engineering

Direct experience in the Eagle Ford shale (required)

Prior asset management or team leadership experience
