Position Details
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 20 Hours Per Week
- Every Other Weekend Required
Warsaw Meadows Care Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Warsaw, IN. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents while supporting both housekeeping and laundry operations.
Responsibilities
- Follow established housekeeping and laundry procedures
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
- Wash, dry, fold, and distribute facility linens and residents' personal laundry
- Operate industrial housekeeping and laundry equipment, including floor buffers, washers, and dryers
- Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs and addressing simple repairs
- Lift and transport supplies, equipment, and linens as needed
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is needed
- Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Assist with additional housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, or related experience preferred
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Must be at least 18 years of age
