Warsaw Meadows Care Center is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to oversee and manage the Environmental Services Department within our skilled nursing facility. This leadership role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Position Summary

The Environmental Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all housekeeping and environmental operations to ensure the facility meets infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements and promotes a comfortable, high-quality living environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all functions of the Environmental Services Department

• Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition at all times

• Ensure proper availability, operation, and maintenance of equipment and supplies

• Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance and department effectiveness

• Enforce departmental policies, safety regulations, fire and disaster procedures, and Universal Precautions

• Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, and regulatory standards

• Train, supervise, and support environmental services staff to meet operational and regulatory goals

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental services, preferably in a supervisory or management role

• Training in environmental control practices and procedures preferred

• Experience in a medical or long-term care setting strongly preferred

• Must be 18 years of age or older
