Warriors Haven is a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that no veteran stands alone. We provide critical support services including housing assistance, benefits advocacy, and community outreach to at-risk and underserved veterans.
Role Overview
The Volunteer Grant Writer will play a vital role in identifying funding opportunities and developing compelling grant proposals to secure financial support for our programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
- Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and supporting documents
- Collaborate with leadership to gather program data and impact metrics
- Track deadlines and maintain a grant submission calendar
- Assist with reporting requirements for awarded grants
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills
- Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising preferred (not required)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Passion for supporting veterans and community-based initiatives
