Warriors Haven is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to support our mission of serving veterans and their families throughout the Lowcountry.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position, ideal for someone passionate about making a tangible impact in the lives of those who have served our country.

About Us

Warriors Haven is a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring that no veteran stands alone. We provide critical support services including housing assistance, benefits advocacy, and community outreach to at-risk and underserved veterans.

Role Overview

The Volunteer Grant Writer will play a vital role in identifying funding opportunities and developing compelling grant proposals to secure financial support for our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources
• Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and supporting documents
• Collaborate with leadership to gather program data and impact metrics
• Track deadlines and maintain a grant submission calendar
• Assist with reporting requirements for awarded grants

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing, and research skills
• Experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising preferred (not required)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Passion for supporting veterans and community-based initiatives
