Class A CDL Driver

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Class A CDL Driver to join our family-owned and oriented drilling company in Lincoln, Nebraska. Preference given to underemployed/unemployed National Guard, Reservists and Veterans. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for transporting overweight and oversized loads to various job sites. In addition to driving duties, you will also be required to assist with loading, unloading, and other tasks on-site as necessary. Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation of Overweight/Oversized Loads:

• Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport overweight and oversized loads to job sites.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations regarding overweight and oversized loads.
• Adhere to company policies and industry best practices for safe loading, securing, and unloading of equipment and materials.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe and efficient operation.

Assistance with Loading, Unloading, and On-site Tasks:

• Assist with loading and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies at job sites.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe completion of tasks.
• Perform other on-site tasks as necessary, including equipment setup and maintenance.

Training for Drill Operator Role:

• Opportunity to receive training to become a drill operator within the company.
• Learn and follow all drilling procedures, techniques, and safety guidelines.
• Assist with drilling operations under the guidance of experienced drill operators.
• Develop skills and knowledge necessary to independently operate drilling equipment.

Safety and Compliance:

• Comply with all safety regulations, guidelines, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and promote a culture of safety among team members.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to driving and drilling operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Experience transporting overweight and oversized loads is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with loading, unloading, and on-site tasks.
• Physical fitness to perform physically demanding tasks and work in challenging conditions.
• Willingness to undergo training to become a drill operator.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
