Job Summary
The Safety Manager plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment within our organization. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies that adhere to regulatory standards. The Safety Manager will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of safety, conduct training sessions, and ensure that all employees are aware of safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs in compliance with MSHA regulations and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, first aid, CPR, and occupational health.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving workplace safety culture.
- Ensure that the organization adheres to environmental regulations set forth by the MSHA and ADEM
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics for management review.
Skills
- Certified and strong knowledge of MSHA regulations and guidelines.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation law and procedures.
- Experience in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques.
- Excellent report writing skills for documenting incidents and compliance measures.
- Ability to conduct effective training sessions on EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) topics.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents.
- Effective communication skills to engage employees at all levels regarding safety practices. This role is essential in fostering a safe workplace where employees can thrive while minimizing risks associated with occupational hazards.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
