Role Description The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and therapeutic treatments as appropriate. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, performing refractions and ocular health assessments, interpreting diagnostic test results, and documenting findings in the medical record. The Optometrist will collaborate with support staff, educate patients on eye health and preventive care, and coordinate referrals to other eye care specialists when needed. This is a part-time, on-site role based at WARRINGTON EYE CARE in Warrington, PA, requiring consistent in-person patient interaction and participation in the practice’s clinical workflows. The role may also involve contributing to practice growth through participation in community outreach and supporting process improvements in patient care.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and current, unrestricted license to practice optometry in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Strong clinical skills in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fitting, diagnosis and management of common ocular diseases, and co-management of surgical patients as needed.
  • Ability to use electronic health records and diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors, OCT, visual field analyzers, and retinal imaging systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings clearly and build trust with patients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a steady patient schedule while maintaining high standards of care and accurate documentation.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuing education, and staying current with advances in optometry and ocular technology.
  • Comfort working as part of a small, collaborative clinical team and contributing to a positive, respectful workplace culture.
  • Prior experience in private practice or medical optometry is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
